Playmakers Sports Bar And Grill
About This Spot
Step into Playmakers Sports Bar And Grill and you’re met with an inviting, easygoing energy that feels both familiar and effortlessly fun. Nestled in the heart of Goodyear, this spot is a go-to gathering place where the pace is lively but never rushed. Whether you’re there to catch the big game or just unwind with friends, the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between vibrant and relaxed.
The room hums with the quiet buzz of conversation and the occasional cheer from one of the many well-placed TVs, ensuring that no matter where you sit, you’re never far from the action. Natural warmth radiates from the friendly staff who take genuine care, creating a space that feels more like gathering at a friend’s place than a typical sports bar. The mix of familiar and unexpected—from pool tables to a cozy lounge area—invites all kinds of evenings, from casual hangouts to low-key celebrations.
Food plays a quietly central role here—not as mere fuel but as part of the shared experience. The menu offers comforting, well-made staples that invite communal sharing and comfort: think crispy, flavorful wings, pizzas tailored just right, and plenty of satisfying sides that encourage lingering. The simple pleasure of biting into something freshly prepared pairs perfectly with a well-poured drink and the easy rhythm of a night spent in good company.
Playmakers isn’t about rushing the moment—it’s about soaking in the little joys: a friendly bartender’s ease, the cleanliness that doesn’t go unnoticed, or the way the space naturally adapts to a family-friendly afternoon or a spirited late-night hangout. It’s a reminder of how local spots, often tucked just “in the cut,” offer more than just food and screens—they offer a true sense of place and belonging.

This bar is an exceptional environment to enjoy a night out with friends! The service is amazing, the food is fresh and delicious (especially the wings). The bartender and owner are kind, attentive, and easy going. They also maintain a clean and inviting atmosphere!

We have found a diamond in the rough. We live in Goodyear and we love the local restaurants. We found that this sports bar and restaurant has opened up in the last few months. The staff is fun. There are tons of TVs to watch sports. The wings are legitimately the best we've had in the West Valley. The pizza is amazing. The fried catfish is perfectly breaded.. You have to try this place out.

Small hole in the wall bar attached to a pretty old Best Western. We stopped by after checking out some reviews and came in to see what games they might be playing on the tv. It was fairly busy, but we were able to find a few seats at the bar. Our bartender was pretty quick getting us menus and drink orders. We'd eaten a bit earlier so we passed on food. The menu does look pretty good with wings, pizza and appetizers. I was a bit bummed because they don't offer any sour beers or even ciders. The closest I could get was a seltzer. No white claw or anything, but a few flavors of Nutrl I believe it's called. They had of course hard alcohol and regular beers on tap. The location was clean, but could use a little upkeep. Service was friendly our entire time there and we chatted a bit about the bars history. It's been there a few years, changed names in the last couple years, and is separate from the motel though they do rent the space from them. Nothing too fancy but if you're looking for a little hole in the wall to watch a game or have a drink you may enjoy this spot. The lot is old and could use a clean up. It wasn't for me as they don't offer much I like to drink, but still a great option for someone to have a draft/drink.

Such a sweet vibe! Clean environment! Friendly family like customer service… EVEN BETTER, the FOOD was so good! Wings, custom pizza, loaded fries, zucchini… definitely a place to return to! Watched the playoffs on big screens— Bonus- clean bathrooms for my kids too. Looks like a fun chill place to return to at night with friends- pool table and chill lounge area.
